Our accessibility aim
The website aims to provide:
- clear, readable content in plain language;
- good colour contrast;
- keyboard-accessible navigation and visible keyboard focus;
- responsive layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop screens;
- descriptive alternative text for meaningful images;
- straightforward links, headings and page structure; and
- support for browser zoom and text enlargement.
Current status
This beta has been reviewed for basic keyboard use, responsive presentation, heading structure, image alternatives and colour contrast. It has not undergone a comprehensive accessibility audit, so the club does not claim full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance.
The statement and website should be reviewed again before public launch and after significant content or design changes.
Map and third-party content
The embedded Google map is supplied by a third party and may have accessibility limitations that the club cannot control.
As alternatives, the website provides the village hall name and address, a text link to driving directions and the what3words location ///cabinets.fired.expressed ↗.
Village hall access
This statement covers the website. It does not make any unverified claim about physical accessibility at Horsmonden Village Hall.
If you have particular access requirements, please ask the group before attending so that current information can be checked.
Report a problem or request another format
If you find an accessibility problem, need information in another format or cannot use part of the website, please tell the group what page or content is affected and what would help. The group will consider a reasonable alternative.
Club email address: awaiting confirmation
The dedicated address is not configured and this is not a working email link. Until it is confirmed, please speak to John at a bowling evening.
Scope of this draft
This statement is provided for review by the group's regular bowlers. It is not a declaration that a comprehensive accessibility or legal compliance audit has been completed.
